The guest speakers, Eric Brand and Carol Powis were introduced by Deb Blondin; all three are members of the Class of 2012, Leadership Greater Nashua (LGN),a year-long professional development program sponsored by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce. Part of their program is to develop and implement a project to benefit the Greater Nashua community. The class of 2012 selected as their project a new playground for the area's disabled residence.
The LGN in conjunction with the city's officials are proposing the new playground at Greeley Park. The proposed playground would meet a wide spectrum of the disabilities and allow everyone to play, interact and integrate together. All the playground equipment would be purchased and with the help of the community, the playground would be built in a day. LGN is working on various avenues of funding to raise estimated $250,000-$300,000 cost for the project.
