On August 5th, Senator Maggie Hassan, addressed the Rotary club of Nashua regarding, her work in Washington. Before beginning, Senator Hassan asked for a moment of silence for the recent events of violence in our nation.
Senator Hassan outlined what she has been working on for the benefit of NH as well as the country.  She has introduced/reintroduced several bipartisan bills in hopes of helping all.  She was optimistic about rail service in southern NH.  The Senator is working to help with skyrocketing medication costs and “surprise medical bills”.  She answered a few questions from the floor regarding Medicare negotiating, Social Security funding and fighting our growing deficit.  She even proposed going to a 2-year budgeting scheme just like NH.
