The Rotary Club of Nashua recently contributed $15,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua, fulfilling its pledge to the BGCGN Capital campaign for a total contribution of $25,000.

"The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua is extremely grateful to the Rotary Club of Nashua for their support of BGCGN programs. This donation helped to fund dedicated spaces for teen members where they participate in character and leadership development opportunities as well as education and career programming," said Norm Bouthilette, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua.

The Rotary Club's donation helps support the redesign of the teen area of the BGCGN building.  The teen center is integral to the Boys & Girls Club’s leadership development programs, which includes the Keystone Club, the Club’s premiere teen leadership group for teens ages 14 to 18. The Keystone Club’s focus is creating opportunities and activities in the areas of academic success, career preparation, as well as community and Club service.

This donation also provides the Club the opportunity to offer members the chance to participate in college visits and workshops as well as career preparation opportunities, such as resume building, interviewing skills, and job shadowing experiences.

"The Rotary Club of Nashua is proud to support the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua.  This organization has positively impacted young people in Nashua for 40 years.   We want to support programs that have a significant impact on the health of our local community," said Rotary President Robert Boisvert III.

The Rotary Club holds four annual fundraisers – an annual auction, a calendar fundraiser, a comedy night, and a  Christmas tree sale, proceeds from which  the Rotary supports local and global projects  More information about these fundraisers can be found at www.NashuaRotary.org.
