On February 24th, Sister Paula Marie Buley, President Rivier University, addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua regarding, expansion plans at Rivier University. Sister Paula has been the President of Rivier university since 2011 and has led a number of accomplishments including 3 strategic plans, new facility buildings, expansion of the technology, science and behavior health programs.
The program focused on Behavioral Health and Rivier’s role in our community.  As society has become more aware of behavioral health programs, college level tracks such as Rivier’s have become more prevalent.  Sister Paula explained behavior health as total health balance encompassing 6 pillars of well-being (career, mental, financial, environmental, family and physical).   Programs such as psychology and counseling are seeing growth.  The field has a significant deficit of trained professional with over 300 local jobs currently unfilled.  One of the recent improvements is the Benoit Simulation Center, allowing clinics with AI so students can practice nursing skills as well as patient interaction scenarios.
