On November 17th, Sandy Belknap, Executive Director of the NH Women's Foundation, addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua regarding the impact of the NH Women's Foundation in our communities.
The NH Women's Foundation is fueling positive change in our communities by supporting programs that advance communities by investing in women and girls to support innovative and promising solutions to the issues facing women and girls today.  We know that when women and girls prosper, entire communities succeed.  Over $150,000 allocated in Greater Nashua since 1999.

As the only statewide foundation in New Hampshire committed to supporting projects focused on women and girls.  This work furthers the goals of economic security, safety, good health, leadership and general well-being for all women and girls of the Granite State.
Currently focusing on what is important for the women and girls and empowering them through research, education, philanthropy and advocacy.
We are not doing well in the areas of equal pay.  $.77 of every dollar is made by women, lower than the national average.  We are doing well for higher education, women in the workforce and a much lower teenage pregnancy rate in NH. 52% of NH women graduate from higher education institutions compared to 36% elsewhere in the US.  NH is behind a bit on women in STEM fields (that's where the future of our economy is) and more elderly women are facing issues.
