On July 29th, Audrey Morrissey, associate director of My Life, My Choice Foundation, addressed the Rotary club of Nashua regarding, the dark world of commercial sexual exploitation of children. The foundation currently works with approximately 150 young women ranging in age from 15 to their mid-twenties.  Her talk was to bring light to a problem that exist everywhere, from large metropolitan areas to the small suburbs. Due to funding and staffing limitations, they currently provide services to women in Boston and the communities out to Worcester.
The young women usually get pulled into the exploitation by force, coercion, befriending and seduction.  Unfortunately, the internet has driven the problem that was once seen on the street corner of many cities into the shadows of hotel rooms.  Audrey herself a victim of exploitation is now able to give voice and a path to freedom to many young women.
