On January 30th, Mayor Jim Donchess, addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua regarding the state of the City. Mayor Donchess explained the nature of Town Hall Meetings being conducted to gather input from Nashua citizens.  He spoke about Economic Development with emphasis on the southend of the city to stimulate growth. He addressed the Opiod Crisis and applauded the efforts of the Nashua Fire Department in setting up a "Safe Station" to provide immediate medical treatment for those seeking treatment from Opiod overdoses.  He reported 62 people ranging in ages of 18 years old to 61 years old in January 2017.
 
Mayor Donchess reported that there were 800 drug arrests by the Nashua Police Department in 2017.  The emphasis has been and will continue to reduce the supply of heroin in Nashua.
