Global Macro-Economic Trends --Jeff Kreick

Jeff Kreick, an economist who studied at the University of Michigan, for both undergraduate and postgraduate work, and presented on "global macro-economic trends."  His PowerPoint  presentation involved many charts, graphs and economic finance terms which Jeff explained to our group.  He said he was nonpartisan and wanted to show us the "story of the decades long evolution of money and finances in the United States."    He was interesting and detailed as he illustrated the changes that our country made when we changed from the "gold standard" in the early 1970's to dollars in our national treasury.  His graphs on the rise and fall of inflation over the past few decades were eye opening as well.  He left us with the knowledge that our country's credit has peaked over the last decade which has aided in causing many monetary problems and that as a nation we are over leveraged financially.
