On November 2nd, Kathy Hersh, President of City Arts Nashua introduced our guest speaker Jerry Beck. Mr. Beck has been hired as a consultant to introduce “Artventures” to Nashua residents.  This is a concept of people coming together to create “collaborative public art”.  The goal is to bring more people downtown.  Art is all around us and can change lives.

“Recycled Rodeo” is a type of collaborative art created from recycled materials.  It encourages young people to clean up their neighborhoods and to create art with all types of materials found there.

“Illuminations” are sculptures created inclusive of lighting to promote “lighting the city”.  It can highlight varied architecture by using solar and led lighting.  The city of Lowell Massachusetts completed 25 pieces of illumination art.
“Totem Poems” are short poems written as part of a literacy project to encourage peoples’ passion in the arts.
