On June 20th, Beth asked Community Grants Chairperson and Past President Deb Novotny to introduce this year’s award recipients.  Deb thanked her committee members Bob James, Brian Law, Erin Gleeson, Jebb Curelop, John Sias and Theresa Lucier for their work on the committee.  The purpose of the Awards are to help Non-profits complete projects that help our community. Community Grants were present as follows:
 
  • The Front Door Agency was awarded $4,648.  Kristen Berquest accepted the award and said the funds were used to upgrade one of the transitional housing buildings. https://www.frontdooragency.org
  • Greater Nashua Dental Connection was awarded $2,500. Myra Nikitas accepted the award the funds will be used for the Cavity Free Kids program. http://www.greaternashuadentalconnection.org
  • Home Health Hospice was awarded $3,252. Leidy Baxley accepted the award and said the funds will be used to purchase Neonatal Bilirubin Jaundice Meters. https://www.hhhc.org
  • Humane Society of Greater Nashua was awarded $5,000. Elaina Bedio accepted the award and said the funds will be used to purchase surgery monitoring equipment. https://www.hsfn.org
  • Operation Delta Dog was awarded $4,600. Kerry Hildbrant & Oliver (K9) & Nashua Police Officer John Turcotte & Ellie (K9) accepted the award and said the funds will be used to further Ellie’s training as community service dog. https://operationdeltadog.org
  • Positive Street Art was awarded $5,000. Manny Ramirez & Cecilia Ulibarri accepted the award and said the funds were used for renovations to their building. https://www.positivestreetart.org
