On May 21st, Rick Manganello addressed the Rotary Club of Nashua regarding, “10 Lessons for 10 Years of Rotary”.  Lessons learned since starting his District involvement since 2006.  Rick spoke about the 549 existing active and past District Governors (Maroon jackets) as being “cheerleaders” for the 35,600 Rotary clubs worldwide.  From his perspective - Members are the ones that really make things happen.
 
Three main attributes of a Rotarian: (1) Leadership, (2) Friendship and (3) Service.  Reiterated a story about a self-centered member form Texas and his “wake-up” journey to becoming a true Rotarian.    Rick highlighted and updated the three main goals of the Rotary Foundation.  (#1) Polio eradication.  (#2) Peace Centers – seven centers focusing on building peace throughout the world. (#3).  Global Grants. – focus on grants >= $30,000.00.
