Wings and Crystal - Rotary Style
What do wings and crystal have to do with Rotary? The answer would be easy if you were at a recent Milford Rotary Club meeting. On April 30th Assistant District Governor (ADG) and District Secretary Dennis McMann joined the club for lunch and to do some Rotary work. Dennis presided over a very special presentation to John Siemienowicz and Allise de Smet during which John received his Benefactor wings, and they both received an engraved crystal award and lapel pins recognizing their contribution as a Major Donor. John and Allise join Milford Rotarian Peter TenBroeck as a Major Donor.
Rotary International confers Benefactor status on those who make a provision in their estate plan for The Rotary Foundation or make an outright gift of US$1,000 or more to the Endowment Fund (formerly the Permanent Fund). Those individuals or couples whose cumulative donations to the Rotary Foundation reach US $10,000 or more are recognized as Major Donors.
