Presidential pardons were bestowed on various club members at the

June 24th meeting.  This was Dave's last jesture to avoid fines......

Presidential pardons :

Ted Langdell Day pardons :

To all who harangued me about setting fire to the wood piles, and that is actually most of you, and a goodly number of your spouses or guests, you firebugs are all pardoned.

To those of you who apologized to me for whatever it was that you weren't quite sure about but were pretty sure that you needed to apologize for, no need to ask for it, you're pardoned.  What happens at Ted Langdell Day, stays at Ted Langdell Day.

To the author - who will remain nameless - of the e-mail after Ted Langdell Day, that went like this "I really shouldn't be let out of the house" - you're pardoned.  You know who you are.

In addition to those who think that they had perhaps too much fun, I also pardon anyone who didn't have ANY fun at Ted Langdell Day.

For whoever chewed on my brand new 200-gram Frisbee at Ted Langdell Day, you're pardoned.

For whoever absconded with my second lobster, I guess that you're pardoned.

Billy Pockl, for reasons that are obvious, you're pardoned.

Last Ted Langdell Day pardon, I'm told I should pardon myself for losing the nuclear football, the presidential black bag.  Despite what Joe thinks, it's not supposed to be handcuffed to the President's wrist, but to a military aide's wrist.  And, I didn't lose it, the band packed it and took it with them.

General pardons :

Tom and Seth, er, Dr. Penelope Bunniwiggins, for the latest Presidential roast, you're both pardoned.

To Marc Chareth, for trying to upstage the President while collecting, you're pardoned for having such good material.

Al, for not coming to the Balsams, you're pardoned.  This should extend to EVERYONE who didn't come to the Balsams.  It was fun and inspirational.

Back table, one time and one time only, for talking during the meeting so that others can't hear what's going on, you're pardoned.  But, since we will soon have our new audio-visual system in place, you will soon be able to hear the entire meeting, and there should be no NEED for future pardons.

Those who punted a speaker, greeter or collector duty - pardoned.

A prospective pardon, against the possibility of a future sin to be determined, to Dave Hammer for being the speaker earlier this spring, on a topic both timely and intensely personal.  That took some brass to do.  And I know there are other worthy stories out there, let's hear them.

Those who never sat up front with the President.  You missed some great opportunities to meet some interesting people.  Our Chief Justice, Senators past and present, the war veteran (hero) Mr. Prince just last week to name a few.  You're pardoned.

Finemasters?  Consulting the Magic 8 Ball, I grudgingly pardon you for a year's worth of excellent fines.

Finally and undoubtedly most controversially, Joe Raczek, for your barroom joke about the crocodile, the beer bottle and the blonde, you're pardoned.  (This is going to be my Marc Rich pardon, isn't it?)
