Milford Rotarians know how to celebrate!
The 2014 Ted Langdell Day party was another smashing success and a marvelous celebration of our club's accomplishments this past year. As President John noted, with all that we did and all that we leveraged, over $300,000 in local and international support was generated by our club this year. Many thanks to our gracious hosts Rob and Christine Keller for sharing their fantastic antique barn with us.
Once again Head Chef Fitz and his band of merry grillmeisters and sous chefs outdid themselves with the delicious appetizers and meal. Raffle maven Susan Robinson gathered a fun assortment of prizes that Alec masterfully awarded to the lucky winners. Bravo to Karen Keating for doing such a fine job organizing this special event.
Congratulations to Past President Allise de Smet, aka Madame X, for being named the 2014 Stan Powers recipient.
Milford Rotary has rich in history and fellowship. It was great to see so many of our former presidents, honorary members, spouses and friends in attendance !!
Resident bid caller Stevie D auctioned off a special bottle of Basil Hayden’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for $500! In the end, the winning and contending bidders, David Hammer and Paul Amato, elected to share the bourbon which was accompanied by a bottle of Doug and Stan's locally grown and pressed sparkling cider. Gotta love charity auctions!
