On Wednesday September 21st, the Milford Rotary Club recognized Jennifer Krause as a new Paul Harris Fellow for her contributions to our club and to the Rotary Foundation. Jen joined Milford Rotary in 2005 and is one of the club’s most dedicated members. She was our Club Secretary for a number of years and more recently assumed the role of Club Webmaster. Affectionately known as the Queen of Summer Breakfasts, Jen regularly volunteers to organize and work the grills at our various events. Always ready to pitch-in with a smile and a positive word, she recevied the Stan Powers Award in 2008 for her outstanding contributions to our club.

A Paul Harris Fellow is a distinction shared by men and women in more than one hundred nations, many of whom have made significant contributions to world peace and understanding. Anyone who furthers these efforts by contributing $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation is named a Paul Harris Fellow. Frequently, a Rotary Club or member will make a contribution to the foundation in honor or memory of an outstanding individual. In our club, a donation to the foundation is part of the Stan Powers Award.

Jen joins a distinguished list of Milford Rotarians who have been honored as Paul Harris Fellows. Take a moment at our next meeting to read the banner of gold plaques bearing the names of our Paul Harris Fellows. It is located on the wall to the right of the podium as viewed from the lunch tables.

Congratulations Jen!
