Chocolate and Blues!

The Milford Rotary Club was treated to a sweet after lunch presentation by local "chocolate and sugar" artist Doug Nelson. Doug, a third generation candy maker, owns and operates Nelson's Candies located at 65 Main Street in Wilton. Doug's daughter Janet operates a branch of Nelson's in Cornville, Maine making it four generations of Nelson candy artists since 1914.

In addition to being a wonderful raconteur and sugar artist, Doug is an accomplished musician. To serve his musical avocation, Doug plays with his band, Sweet Tooth, and operates a music café next door to the candy shop in Wilton. Next up on  the "Locals Café" calendar is  the Rynborn Legend  BOBBY RADCLIFF. Mr Radcliff will be backed by the Skip Philbrick Blues Band  on Saturday April 26, 2014.  Doors open at 7 pm  General admission $30  Tickets can be purchased at Nelson's Candies 65 Main Street Wilton, N.H. 03086  (or by calling 603-654-5030 to reserve by credit card- note $2 charge per ticket) Tickets are limited!  House band to open - BYOB.
