A Hole in the World
The Milford Rotary Club and our hometowns lost a truly wonderful member of our communities on June 13th when George Infanti lost his valiant battle with cancer. Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Mario Infanti, Ruth Infanti, George's four children and his grandchildren, Jim Infanti, and all of George's family.
There has been an increduble outpouring of wonderful memories and accolades for George posted on Facebook and Twitter and on the local news media websites. For those of you who missed these tributes or who would like to re-visit them, here are a few links:

The world could use more George Infanti's
(The latter is a great piece originally written by Robert Michaelson of The Patch after our February 2013 Roast in George's honor)
A friend of Milford Rotary sent a message along in which she wrote, "This is one of the things that spurs me on to volunteer with the hope of making a difference. It certainly applies to George - there's a hole in the world!"
| "How do you want to be remembered? For the car you drove? As the guy who slid into second with his spikes up? The woman in the power suit who everyone feared? The one with the most toys? Or someone who cared? Someone who did good? Someone who, on the day they're gone people will say today...there's a hole in the world?" |
A memorial gathering in honor of George Infanti will be held on Monday, June 24th at 2:00 pm at Rotary Centennial Park, Milford NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of George to the Milford Rotary Club Foundation P.O. Box 618, Milford NH 03055.
