In a few short weeks we'll be hosting 14 teams and around 500 athletes at the Keyes Memorial Pool for the 60th Milford Rotary Swim Meet. What started in 1966 as a celebration of the "new" town pool has become one of the premier summer swim meets in New Hampshire. This meet is one of our Club's two signature annual Community Service events. The other one being the Senior Citizens' Chicken BBQ in May.
We don't do this alone! Our Club is fortunate to have strong, collaborative relationships with the Town of Milford and the Milford Recreation Department along with the Granite State Swim Association. GSSA's Jim Rezzarday will be back for about the 35th time as our Meet Director working his on-deck magic. Becky Anderson of the Milford Keyes Sea Dragon swim team has volunteered again as our Entry Chairperson. Megan Ablondi is serving as the Head Referee and Julia Anderson is the Keyes Pool Manager this year. We welcome John Kohlmorgen in his first year as Milford Rec Director. Thanks to these collaborations, we are able to put on a NO Entry fee swim meet and support youth development and summer swim programs.
