37th MPF - Community House Lawn & Rotary Park Venue

Once  again, the Milford Rotary Club will be teaming up with the MIlford LIons Club to manage the Community House Lawn & Rotary Park venue for the annual Milford Pumpkin Festival. This is only one of seven venues that make-up the festival.

This joint venture is a combination community service project and a fundraiser for our Clubs. Here's what we'll be doing with a lot of help from many other community organizations -

• Providing free booth space to over a dozen non-profit, school & church groups so that they can fundraise and raise awareness about their organizations.  Each organization is asked to provide a family friendly activity and lend a hand as needed. 

• We organize the traditional festival activities of Scarecrow Making, Pumpkin Painting and Face Painting. Helping to staff these activities this year are:  the Milford Recreation Commission & Dept, Scouting Troop  1794, and Jess Bouchard and her MHS National Art Society students. Members of the Souhegan Valley Transportation Collaborative will be helping out again with at the ticket sales table. And we'll also be doing a special community service project with SHARE to help families participate in these activities sponsored by the Arthur L. Keyes Memorial Trust. 

• The always fabuluos Jacques School Scarecows will be back again to welcome festival guests! In addition, the students at Heron Pond School and the Middle School may be joining in on the scarecrow making fun!. Be sure to take a drive and enjoy their creations. • During the daytime on Saturday and Sunday, the Rotary and Lions Clubs will be joining forces to operate a concession area featuring those famous Rotary Burgers and fantastic Sausages. The Rotary chuck wagon and Lions grills will be fired up to raise funds for our clubs. Sponsohip of the  the Rotary-Lions Concessions by Steven A. Desmarais Construction, Inc.

• And of course, we will be hosting the annual Beer, Wine & Spirits Tasting Tent on Friday and Saturday nights! Our special guest chefs on Friday night are from Papa Joe's Humble KItchen - welcome Travis and Kelsey!. And on Saturday night we hope to have another Guest Chef manning the grills...stay tuned!!
