The members of Hollis-Brookline Rotary club are greatly saddened by the recent passing of long-time Rotarian Frank Ballou.  Frank joined HBRC in June 2000 and served as club president in 2004-2005.  He was awarded recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow for his good work and contributions to the Rotary Foundation.

For years Frank held the unofficial award of ticket-seller extraordinaire for our many club events and fund-raisers.  It was a noticeable testament to the countless deep and rich relationships he created and maintained with friends and associates, as well as his commitment to Rotary and the two communities our club serves.  He was the epitome of the Rotary value of Service before Self.

We each have our own memories of Frank.  His warm smile, bright twinkling eyes, the wittiness, kindness and generosity he gave to all will be long remembered.  Such was the impact he had on those who knew him and those whose lives he touched in other ways.  Our thoughts are with his wife, Dolores, and family.
