The President’s theme for this Rotary year is Rotary: Making a Difference. So we’re using this message to say Thank You to those who do good work and Make a Difference in our two towns. This week’s big thank you for Making a Difference went to the teachers and staff at Richard Maghakian Memorial School in Brookline. Flowers overflowed the tables in the staff room, making everyone smile!
Last week our Rotary club recognized the teachers and staff at Captain Samuel Douglass Academy, and the weeks before that we delivered to Hollis Elementary, Hollis Upper Elementary School, Hollis Middle School, the Hollis Town Clerks, the town administrative offices in Hollis and Brookline, the police and fire stations in both towns, both town Libraries, the SAU 41 offices, and the residents at Hollis Village. We gave flowers to the Nashua Soup Kitchen that were passed out along with the Thanksgiving food baskets. We’ve recognized businesses, including Lorden’s, Farwell Realty, the Cozy Tea Cart, the Hollis Diner, the Brookline Animal Hospital and the Hollis Veterinary Hospital. Residents and staff at Harbor Homes and Keystone Hall have also received beautiful flowers to brighten their day.
So many wonderful schools, businesses and individuals Making a Difference every day for the people of our two communities. If we haven’t said “thank you” yet to someone you know who Makes a Difference, let us know! We’re happy to spread the appreciation!
And many thanks to Trader Joe’s and Lull Farm for donating all these beautiful flowers for this on-going effort! We really appreciate YOU!!
