The Rotary Club of Bedford's Regional Idol Scholarship competition was held on January, 18 2025 at the Dana Center Theater at Saint Anselm College

The Bedford Rotary's tenth annual Regional Idol Scholarship Competition, was designed not only to recognize musical excellence in our community but also to promote the appreciation of music in our schools as an essential element of a well rounded education.

A vocal competition for high school students recognizing musical excellence in our communities!

 
The Bedford NH Rotary Club is hosting this Regional Idol Scholarship Competition, a program which is open to high school vocalists in the Southern NH area. The competition seeks to present the best vocalists in the area performing with a live band and awards scholarship prizes to the best performers. The event will be held at the Dana Center Theater at Saint Anselm College, a 585 seat theater with state of the art facilities.
 
The purpose of this event is not only to recognize vocal excellence but also to promote the appreciation of music in our schools as an essential element of a well rounded education. We also provide extensive training and mentoring to the contestants to help them be better stage performers in front of a live audience.

The audience experience...

12 amazingly talented contestants have been rehearsing for months, and you'll be able to take in their unique vocal styles, backed by a LIVE full band with piano, rhythm and full horn section!

After each performance a panel of three judges critiques the contestant for all to hear. After all the contestants have finished, there will be an intermission, during which the judges will select the four best performers to return as post-intermission finalists.

Having already qualified for a share of the scholarship prize money, the four finalists each return to sing one more number.

Then the house lights come up, the audience takes over and the judging of the final four contestants falls into your hands! A ballot was handed to each member of the audience as they entered the theater. Each audience member then writes the name of the finalist they think is the best on their ballot.
 
While the votes are tabulated, past Idol show winners will perform their favorites. The finalists return to the stage and the winners - as determined by the audience vote - are announced by the emcee host.

Looking to Advertise?

We are assembling a souvenir Program Book for this event and are looking for advertisers who would like to be included in this book. The book will contain bios of all the contestants, a program for the evening’s event, and information about the Bedford Rotary Club and its involvement in the Bedford and Manchester communities. We are encouraging our advertisers to not only place an ad in the book but to include a coupon in their ad. Not only will the coupon make it more likely to result in a visit to your business by show attendees to redeem the coupons but people tend to keep the books
on hand longer resulting in more impressions over a longer period of time for our advertisers.


Our ads are available in 4 sizes - full page ads for $250, half page ads for $150, a quarter page for $85, and an eighth page for $49.Sponsors are also welcome and our program people can give you the options available to sponsors including full color ads, inside covers, and other offers.
