On February 27th John Tobin and Doug Hall spoke to us about the Property Tax to school funding disparities in our state. Following the NH Supreme Court's Claremont rulings state aid was changed starting in the 1999/2000 school year. Despite efforts in the ensuing years there has been very little change in the disparities in funding per student or equalized tax rates compared to a median town. There are several school funding bills under consideration at this time. Our club would need further inputs to understand how these bills address the problem.
