Welcome to the Bedford New Hampshire Rotary Club
Bedford Rotary is an active and caring organization. Our fundraising efforts bring in about $35,000 annually through several exciting community events:

The Regional Idol Scholarship Competition showcases talented high school performers and takes place in January. The COVID pandemic suspended this production for a few years, but was reintroduced in January 2025. The Idol Contest is a superbly managed production featuring a live band, backup singers and professional sound and lighting. If you enjoy great talent, this is the event to attend!

The Bedford Rotary Club has hosted two Corn Hole Tournaments in 2023 and 2024 and the response has been tremendous.

Bedford Rotary also has a long history of running an annual fundraising road race. Six years ago we transitioned to an exciting trail race, and the Bedford Rotary Club's Trails 2 Ales 5K was born! Trail runs are growing in popularity and are fun events for individual runners of all ages as well as families, especially when combined with grilled burgers, ales from local breweries, soft drinks, and community fun following the race. Our Trails to Ales 5K race is held at Legacy Park in Bedford . Additionally, the race has become one of the Millennium Running “Happy Hour Hustle” events, so it attracts hundreds of runners!

Bedford Rotary also facilitates additional fundraising and community events which include:

  • Bell Ringing from Thanksgiving to Christmas to support the Salvation Army Corps of Manchester. We braved the cold and the wind to ring the Kettle Bell raising more than $12,000 for the Salvation Army. This is the highest grossing Kettle of the Manchester Corps.
  • We also remember and honor Bedford’s senior residents living in area assisted living facilities. In early December we meet and escort senior citizens and their care givers to the Manchester Country Club for a festive and fun-filled luncheon. The club provides live music, entertainment and a wonderful meal provided by the Manchester Country Club Dining staff. Our deserving seniors even get a visit from Santa!

  • Day of Registration is Available in the field beginning at 5:00 PM
  • Parking: Carpooling is encouraged and parking is as directed at Riddle Brook School and surrounding ball field lots. Please plan to arrive by 5:00 PM
  • Hazards: Trail traversing over roots and bumpy ground can be challenging. Please do not bring strollers or pets.
  • Enjoy post-race food and beverages.
  • Burgers: Everyone is entitled to enjoy a grilled burger after walking/running.
  • Beer Garden: Registrants 21 and over are invited to partake of the beer and wine tasting from 6:30-8:00 PM

Miss NH - Dr. Brooke Mills

“I talk through my brain injury story and childhood challenges, how the Miss America opportunity provided me hope and role models during tough times, how everyone can be involved to empower women in the state of NH, my year as Miss New Hampshire and what the year holds for me as a business entrepreneur and new business owner in Bedford.”
The Bedford Rotary Club hosted a fundraising corn-hole tournament at Murphy's Taproom Carriage House on Saturday, February 19. 43 teams -from corn-hole initiates to seasoned ringers- participated.

Claiming the tournament's $300 first prize was the team of Payton Adams and Drevin Richard. In second place -and winners of $200- were Bhuc Tu and Eric Gosselin. The third place winners of $100 were Ron Bourgeois and Rob Browne.

The money that the Bedford Rotary raises through fundraisers like the Corn-hole tourney goes to scholarships, charitable organizations, and programs that help those less fortunate. Bedford Rotary would like to thank the contributing tournament sponsors: Primary Bank, Goedecke Decorating Center, WZID Radio Group, AutoFair Honda, Haigh-Farr, the Wine'ing Butcher, Edward Jones, Paquette Pools, Morgan Self-Storage, and NH Print & Mail.
