ROATRY PROMOTION PROJECT AT THE ROYAL SHOW
COMBINED MEETING FROM GROUP 3 CLUBS
EASTWOOD, MORIALTA, HYDE PARK, BURNSIDE AND HOST CLUB MITCHAM
President Jenny McCarthy opened the meeting and welcomed all Rotarians.
The main topic of the evening was the Rotary promotion project at the Royal Show this year, from Saturday 5 to Sunday 13 September.
The aim of the project is to attract new members into Rotary and also promote Rotary projects and public awareness of Rotary.
Each participating Club will contribute $500 to book a spot in the Rotary booth in the Jubilee building, and the opportunity to have a number of shifts in the booth.
Members of the public will have the opportunity of winning prizes at the booth in exchange for giving their contact information.
After the presentation Mitcham President Jenny introduced their Rotary Peace scholarship recipient Grace King who spoke about her forthcoming 3-year scholarship at Edinburgh University.
Coincidentally, the dinner meeting was held at The ED (Edinburgh) Hotel Mitcham.
