Salvation Army Bell Ringing Award

This past Christmas season, The Salvation Army started a Rotary Red Kettle Challenge for all Rotary clubs in Linn County.  The Rotary that raises the most money during their time ringing the bell at the kettles receives a traveling award.  We are pleased to announce that this year's winner is the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club!  Marion Rotary raised over $1000 for The Salvation Army during their Red Kettle volunteer days at Marion Hy-Vee and Marion Fareway. Jenna Salzbrenner of the Salvation Army presented the award to President Bob Mollman at the May 30 meeting of the Club. Thanks to Don Zierath for organizing the project with Tom Padley who will oragnize the 2017 effort.
