Waffle Breakfast 2017

The Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club is hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Waffle Breakfast & Silent Auction during the Marion Arts Festival on Saturday, May 20th. Proceeds benefit the Shoes for Kids program which provides footwear to local kids in need as well as other projects locally and internationally. Breakfast is available 7:30-10:30am at Vernon Middle School. Tickets can be purchased for $7 in advance from a Rotary member or $8 at the door. Kids 5 and under eat free! This year the University of Iowa Community Credit Union is sponsoring the event meaning all proceeds go toward the work of the Club.

 

The silent auction has some great items already.  There is a nice set of “Thirty One” bags to put in our silent auction.  Hills Bank has donated a basket worth over $150. There are tickets to Iowa State Football, UNI football, Iowa Cubs, Cedar Rapids Kernels, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals.  Casey’s has donated a $50 gift card.  Theatre Cedar Rapids has donated a ticket to one of their performances, and Perfect Game has donated their Diamond suite for a Kernels game that includes tickets for up to 20 guests.  Lots of great stuff already here and lot’s more to come.

 

Besides a GREAT breakfast, there are GREAT auction items to start a BUSY day in Marion.
