Veterans Day
Posted by Mike Tiernan
At 11:11 today we stop to remember our Nation's Veterans. My Dad, Jack spent 20 years including a tour in Viet Nam serving our country. Barb my Mom, my brothers, sisters and I traveled to follow. Germany with a new wall, France were I was born, Okinawa, and trips back and forth to Ft. Bragg, were we sort of called home. Here I remember being on base when "taps" were played as the American Flag was lowered to end the day. We proudly watched at attention. I'm reminded of this every time our club says the Pledge of Allegiance. To Jack and Barb, to our club's Veterans and their families who supported them, to all Rotarians who have served. We remember, and we thank you.
