Two new grants

We're so proud to be supporting our community through our grant program!  Two recent grants were approved by the Community Service Committee and Board of Directors.  One was for Feed Iowa First, a local nonprofit which supports food banks and local farmers.  Our $1,500 gift will hopefully be matched by the Rotary Foundation, and will help the organization purchase hand-washing stations, walk-in coolers, harvesting tools & containers, and other items.  In addition, Feed Iowa First will recognize our club with Rotary logos on these items.

The second grant was for the Marion High School Science Department, to help them purchase $1,000 of items including scientific calculators, a field camera & GPS unit, and an anemometer for measuring wind speed.
