On Saturday, September 23rd, the club has put together a service project that will use awarded district grant money. We have purchased 20 trees to be planted in Marion, specifically at Prairie Hill Park. The city will dig the holes and we will help put the trees in the holes and spread mulch around the trees. The planting will start at 10:00, and city employees will be there to help. Lunch will be provided at noon, for anyone helping to plant trees.
We would like to see as many there as possible. Bring your spouse, significant other, children, friends, and neighbors if you want. The more help we have the less time it will take to get these trees planted.
Please respond to Cindy and let her know if you will be there and how many other volunteers you are bringing. Here is an email link.
Update:
For those of you signed up to help plant trees on Saturday...
There is a chance of rain. I have talked with Seth and we are going to play it by ear.
If it does rain...we can set up a rain date or the trees can be planted in house.
Look for an email Saturday morning from me letting you know the status of planting.
