For several years the Marion-East CR Rotary has welcomed visitors from eastern Europe through the local Friendship Force's program through the "Open World" program of the Library of Congress. This year's exchange was with five experts from Ukraine who were studying and observing various aspects of the United States election process. The luncheon discussion centered on the Ukrainian electoral process which is quite different with over 300 parties who organize into coalitions to form a government and elect a Prime Minister. The group's aim is to further educate Ukrainians on their own election process and bring more openness to it. We want to thank the Friendship Force for bringing this opportunity to our Club.
