Kind of a long story. Probably the best orchestrated event I have been involved with.

About an hour of Prep time.

  • Strip to your under wear
  • Remove all jewelry
  • Put on jump suit coveralls, they zip up the back, no pockets, thus no pissing off the bridge
  • Everything goes in a locker, money, billfold, camera, jewelry, cell phone, you have nothing but your teeth, socks, shoes, undies, eye glasses.
  • Then everything is tethered, eye glasses are crockeyed, and the crokeye tethered
  • Furnished handkerchief, snot rag, tethered
  • Base ball hat tethered
  • Fleece hoodie, tethered
  • Gloves - tethered
  • Then safety belt
  • Then fleece bag / pouch is snapped on, then tethered, tail of fleece is sewn to bag, thus tethered.
  • Then radio head set, tethered
  • Then radio goes in back pouch of safety belt, velcroed in, then tethered.
  • Then you snap on to safety cable and climb for the next 2 hours
  • We did the discovery climb thru the middle of the bridge.
  • Ended up next to a Rotarian, from Florida a Structural engineer, so by the time we were done we had the bridge all torn apart, (mentally), and put back together. The tour guide picked up on this so he had us give a quick lesson to the group, in ”structural load paths”.

Absolute ball, plus the best vistas of all of Sydney

They took the pictures.
