Friday September 28 through Sunday September 30 is the Marion Swamp Fox Festival. Many events planned make the weekend a great family friendly place to be. The Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary has been an active participant for many years and 2018 is no exception. Again this year the Club will have a float in the parade. It is a great way to feature our Club and our signature project, "Shoes for Kids."
To get ready for the parade, Club members, guests and family meet at Tom Barnes garage at 5:30 on Tuesday, Sept. 25 to get the truck and golf cart parade ready. We will meet at 920 Williams Drive, Marion to have some pizza, beverages, have fellowship and even get a little work done.
Then on Saturday, Sept. 29 we meet at Marion High School for the Parade (we are number 124 in the line-up). Kids and Club members are welcome to ride and/or walk with the float. The Parade starts at 9:30 AM so if you are there by 9:00 to be ready to support your Club and have some fun. The more the merrier.
