There had to be a first time.  Finally, I had the chance to follow the "Shoe Truck" in the Marion Swamp Fox Parade.  Handing out candy to kids on the route was a blast.  The highlight for me was hearing all about our club's Shoes For Kids project as we passed in front of the judges stand.  It was very easy to be proud.

Thanks to all who helped get things ready and who participated in the Parade.  Huge kudos to Tom Barnes.  He makes having a first class float in a parade seem simple, (it isn't).   Thanks Tom for all you do!

The truck is now put away until March, 2014 when we again celebrate the fun at the SaPaDaPaSo (St. Patrick's Day) Parade in Cedar Rapids.
