Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Thank you to Don Zierath for organizing our Salvation Army Bell Ringing this year. Members braved the cold, stood on carpet squares. smiled, rang bells, wished givers and grinches "Merry Christmas," and helped the community. The efforts of our members produced a total of $1,628 for the Salvation Army.
There is still a need as the following letter tells:
As I'm sure you're well aware, today marks one short week until Christmas Eve. That means there is only one week left to sign-up to help by ringing the bell! Last weekend, we had a ton of great volunteers out at the kettles and we're hoping to have an even greater turnout this final Saturday, 12/20. To this date, we are 59% of the way to our goal. We need to raise an additional $294,283 by next week to meet our goal of $715,000. Please considering donating a couple hours of your time this week. The money raised stays in our community, supporting year-round services such as youth activities, food pantry, emergency disaster services, community meals, sending kids to camp, and so much more.
This Saturday is our "Frozen" themed day. This year at the Red Kettles, we are encouraging you to have a little more fun by dressing up! On the designated days, dress up and post a #selfie to our Facebook Page. The post with the most likes for the day will win a gift card to a local business.
If you are able to help out this weekend or anytime over the next week, please use our volunteer website to get signed-up.. This link, along with additional information, can also be found on the volunteer tab of our homepage, tsacedarrapids.org. To use this feature, you will need to create a volunteer profile with us. If you have an existing profile and need your log-in credentials, please contact Kristen Weaverling. As always, please feel free to contact me by replying to this message or calling the number listed below for any assistance with the sign-up process.
Thank you!We couldn’t do what we do without YOU!
