Together the Marion-East CR Rotary Club and our Linn-Mar Interact  Club rang bells for the Salvation Army at the Marion Fareway, on Saturday, November 18th, and at the Marion Hy-Vee, Saturday, December 2nd. The patrons of these stores were very generous making Christmas and the work of the Salvation Army possible especially considering the natural disaster faced from huricanes this year. The weather cooperated. Hy-Vee customers also received a Mollman special harmonica fanfare when they donated.

The Salvation Army is hosting its 2nd annual Red Kettle Competition for the Rotary Clubs of Linn County.  The Rotary Club that brings in the most money while bell ringing will receive a traveling award.  Our Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club won this award last year!  So far this year, Rotary West, Sunrise Rotary, and our club are signed up to participate in the contest.
