RYLA Applications Still Being Accepted

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program for young men and women where leadership skills and principles are learned, developed and enhanced in an atmosphere of trust and respect. The purpose of RYLA is to encourage and assist current and potential youth leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership.

The RYLA Conference for 2012 will be held at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Any high school sophomore or junior (classes of 2014 and 2013, respectively) may apply to attend RYLA. Generally, applicants selected have excelled in one or more areas of high school involvement and have potential or proven leadership experience. Applicants must be able to stay for all 5 days of the conference, Sunday, July 15 – Friday, July 20, 2012.

The Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club will sponsor two scholarships for students interested in attending. If you would like to apply, please contact Michelle Bell
