It's an exciting Tuesday November 16th for MECR.  We get the opportunity to visit Marion's newest Fire Station for our program and see our good friend Chief Deb!

We had the pleasure of having the plans laid out at a past meeting when the station was an artist's rendering, and now we get to see the actual building.  One of the many great benefits of belonging to MECR is we do cool stuff like this. Something the Lions and Kiwanis are not cool enough to do, and the Optimists are hopeful they will in the future.  The Toastmasters just critique each other's speaches about planning the event (that was for Theresa).

And, Tom Barnes will be at this meeting, so that means there will be a "TOM time" expanded post meeting tour into the pipes and pumps of the fire station.  So you may want to block off some additional time for this one.

This is a city property so masks are required.  LJ's will be catering the meal so you know we will get a sandwich as big as a bunk bed to eat, along with all the fixins.

It is very important to let Cindy know if you are attending, and if you are bringing a guest by Monday morning to plan the proper number of meals.

Also next week is the first of our BELL RINGING for the Salvation Army.  If you have any questions about times and places, please direct them to Tom Padley at thpadley@gmail.com.
