Prez Jeff Message Week of Oct 25

We have a double header this coming week for the mighty MECR.
 
We will have our meeting on Tuesday 10-26-21 as per usual.  A very timely topic presented by Mayor Nick talking about the upcoming LOST vote.  Our good mayor is a great speaker and we all need to remember Rotary is a apolitical, so he will be giving us information on how it affects Marion, not telling us how to vote.   
 
And the second half of the double header is our New Member Orientation Thursday October 28, 2021 from 5:15 until 6:15 at the Indian Creek Country Club.  This will be in the lower level so we are close to the bar, for safety purposes (hydration in a dry climate). 
 
Everyone is invited, please let me know if you are attending if you have not already.  Significant others and kids are welcome, we are all family! If anything you can come heckle my power point presentation I put together for the event.  I am keeping it short and to the point, however questions and discussion will be welcomed.  I have copied the agenda below for your viewing pleasure.

  • Red Ribbon Requirement
    • See list of items to do or participate in.  Check them off as you complete them and get the red ribbon pulled off in a “stripping ceremony” by Jeff S.
  • Rotary Foundation through MECR
    • Up to $100 match per Rotary year, July 1 to June 30.
    • MECR doubles the points $50 plus $50 match is $100.00, then MECR adds 100 points thus getting you closer to your Paul Harris Fellowship.
