Oh boy, winter has descended onto the greater Marion-East Cedar Rapids metroplex. I even heard that four letter word being used. Each day that goes by is one day closer to spring (look at me being an Optimist). As the Kiwanis begin their winter hibernation with the Lions, the mighty MECR is still active and making things happen.
Tuesday December 14, 2021 we have Megan Dee, Donor Relations Consultant for Impact Life as our speaker. We will again be collecting the seasonal tip for Chester and Bob so we can present them with it on December 21. Also, we will be doing final collection for the Christmas families, so if you shopped and have not brought your gifts in, do so Tuesday 12-14-21. Thank you Kesha for organizing this!
Thursday is the Fundraising/Service Committee meeting at the Uptown Snug, 5:15-6:15. The first drink is on Bob Butschi. We will be discussing the Polar Plunge Golf cart Drop among other things. Bob always runs a great meeting, and remember we are all fundraisers!
Tuesday December 21, 2021 will be our Holiday/Christmas/new Year Celebration. Chester has a wonderful planned and we will have entertainment from MISD, thanks Janelle!
Lastly on today's communique there is an important event on December 28th at the CR Country Club featuring a Rotary Business Roundtable with Bob Kazimour as the featured speaker. Event is from 12-1.
