Past Presidents Council First Meeting

 

The first meeting of the Past Presidents Council met on April 20, 2017. It is established to act as an advisory group to the Rotary Club of Marion-East Cedar Rapids Board of Directors. It includes all past presidents that are current members of the Rotary Club of Marion-East Cedar Rapids. Members must have served a term as president of the Rotary Club of Marion-East Cedar Rapids. The past presidents will counsel the Board and serve the membership on any issue related to the club. Particularly, provide guidance where precedent, rationale and intent of previous actions, and lessons learned from past events are important considerations in the decision making process for current issues. The council will also provide advice and guidance to the President on recruitment of candidates for the office of President and candidates for the Board of Directors. Additionally, the council will work to ensure a seamless transition of power between presidents. 

 

The decisions and recommendations of the Past Presidents Council are non-binding and only serve in an advisory capacity.
