Miracle on 34th was a good day
Saturday, the Rotary club of Marion-East Cedar Rapids supported Theatre Cedar Rapids in a major way. The "after flood" facility is amazing and the show, Miracle on 34th Street was a great way to start the Holiday Season. Our sponsorship allowed the Theatre to book another performance or two. We also raised a few thousand dollars for our many important projects. Thanks so much Linda Schultz and co-chair Sarah Hughes. We will have final numbers to report soon.
The afternoon provided some important recognition for our causes. A flier in the program talked up the club and Shoes, (thanks Michelle Bell). TCR's web page did a nice job telling ticket buyers that we sponsored the event and before the show our audience of almost 400 heard that Marion-East Rotary has now provided over 3,000 kids the gift of a pair of shoes.
The opportunity to raise a few dollars, support the Arts in our community, and get together as Rotarians, all great reasons that made Miracle on 34th a good day.
