Mike Bell of RDG Planning & Design
CREATE. MEANING. TOGETHER. We're architects, landscape architects, engineers, artists and planners with a passion for design, and a drive to make a difference. Beyond creating a space you love, we want you to enjoy the process of getting there.
With the help of RDG Planning and Design, Lowe Park have been transformed into a celebration garden, play spaces for children, and a community arts and environment center. The Arts and Environment Center will serve tourism purposes while also supporting both environmental and arts education. Lowe Park creates a building that is sympathetic to the environment with a level of sustainability that decreases, as much as possible, its dependency on electricity and natural gas. Corporate offices for the nonprofit organization Trees Forever are a part of the center, which together with the surrounding parkland, is also used for the organization’s research and demonstration purposes. The Lowe Park Discovery Garden promotes a play experience that relies on natural elements including water, stone, native planting and unique play structures to create an environment that is unique in playground design.
