Message from President Mike

At 11:11 today we stop to remember our Nation's Veterans.  My Dad, Jack spent 20 years serving our country. This included a tour in Viet Nam. Barb my Mom, my brothers, sister and I traveled to follow.  Germany with a new wall, France were I was born, Okinawa, and many trips back and forth to Ft. Bragg, were we sort of called home.  Here I remember being on base when "taps" were played as they lowered the American Flag to end the day.  We always proudly watched at attention.  I think of this every time our club starts by saying the pledge of allegiance.  Jack and Barb, all the Veterans and those who supported them, we thank you.  To the members of our club and Rotarians who have served, we remember, and we thank you.

So Wednesday we gather at Lowe Park to catch up with our newest members. It is no surprise that Sarah, Shaun, Jeff and all of the Community Administration committee have put together a dynamic program.  It is also no surprise that we have a large number of our current members signed up to show support.  Several of our club's leaders are stepping forward to help present and educate.  We welcome everyone from our club to join us Wednesday.  You can still sign up on our web-site or at Tuesday's club meeting.  Thanks for helping us welcome our newer members!
