The Marion-East CR Rotary Club responded to community needs after the devastating Derecho of August 10 thanks to Rotarian Tom Barnes getting the Marion Rotary cooler we use for our annual pancake breakfast at the Marion Airport Fly-in going and relocated. Many people continue to be without power and cooling for various items is a necessity. The immediate need was for the Red Cross needing refrigeration for 1000 meals. Tom also got help from granddaughter Sophie. Tom has involved his whole family in many ways to Rotary activities. Nick Glew from MEDCO and Jeff Witter from the airport helped make this possible.
