Marion Cares Backpack Adoption Program Now Open

As another school year approaches, Marion Cares is once again helping local students start the year prepared for success. The organization's annual Backpack Adoption Program is now open and seeking community support.

This fall, Marion Cares will provide more than 650 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students in the Marion and Linn-Mar school districts. For many families, the cost of school supplies can be a significant burden, and this program helps ensure every student begins the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

Community members have the opportunity to "adopt" a student by purchasing the supplies listed for that student's grade level. The adoption period runs through July 31.

Rotarians understand the importance of education and investing in our youth. By participating in this program, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and help build confidence as they walk into their classrooms on the first day of school.

If your church is participating in the program, please follow the adoption instructions provided through your congregation. Otherwise, individuals can sign up directly through the Marion Cares Backpack Adoption Program.

Together, we can ensure that every child in our community starts the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
