The weather outside has been frightful, great hockey weather if you ask me, and you did. The mighty Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club is going to make the great Don Cherry proud by having a hockey night in Cedar Rapids. Now remember, as I taught my kids, the Don Cherry rule...if you hit someone, expect to be hit back...which is appropriate for a hockey match.
We will leave the crushing hits and glove dropping for the players on the ice and enjoy the game. We have secured the party deck for Saturday Night, January 29th for the Roughriders game against the Chicago Steel. Puck drops at 7:05 pm, the games are usually done around 10 pm. Lots of excitement and activities during the evening will keep even the casual fans entertained. We have 24 of the 28 tickets spoken for, so there is room for a few more.
The "party deck" is on the mezzanine level, on the corner, has high tables and chairs to sit, and an area to stand. As luck would have it, it is situated near the concession stand. Tickets are $15.00, so it is a very affordable night out. I think it will be a great social event for MECR. Thank you Sarah Hughes for arranging this event!
Any questions, please let me know.
