Kent and Gene Neighbor of Farmers State Bank present Echo Hill Station committee chair Erik Miles with a check for $2500 which completes fundraising including many other generous donors supporting Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary's Echo Hill Station project. April will bring some of the finishing touches to the project ahead of a May dedication. The project located along the Art walk of Lowe Park recognizes the science and innovative achievements of friends, neighbors and family members in our community helping to make space exploration possible. It also demonstrates some of the technology that underlies these advancements to inspire youth to develop skills to carry on this Legacy. Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this effort commemorating major historic milestones including the 50th anniversary of humans landing on the moon; the 60th anniversary of scientists at Echo Hill Station in Marion reflecting a radio signal with image from Marion to Richardson, Texas; and the 50th anniversary of the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club.
