Bus Trip to Montreal Being Planned

District Governor Gerald Retzlaff has asked me to organize a district-wide bus trip and lodging package for people interested in attending the International Rotary convention in Montreal next year. The dates are June 20-23, 2010.

You can learn more about the convention in the October 2009 Rotarian magazine, which includes a 12-page feature about the City of Montreal and plans for the convention.

Please inform your club members about our district's plan to offer this group travel option, which will hopefully provide an economical and fun way to experience an international convention. At the same time, it will give us an opportunity to get to know other Rotarians in our district and enjoy fellowship together.

We anticipate that round-trip bus transportation will cost approximately $200 per person. We have no hotel costs at this time. Our hope is to fill at least one bus, and we can add more if enough members indicate an interest.

Rotarians who would like to take advantage of this travel and lodging combination should notify me by December 1, 2009.

I appreciate your help in getting the word out to your club about this trip.
