At its March board meeting, the Marion‑East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club continued planning several key service and fundraising efforts for the remainder of the Rotary year. Preparations are underway for the club’s annual Waffle Breakfast, including sponsorship outreach, event promotion, and new signage. The board also approved a donation of 50 pairs of shoes to support students in the Marion Independent School District and discussed progress on the Lowe Park Discovery Garden grant project. Youth leadership remains a priority, with the club working to identify a student to sponsor for the 2026 Iowa RYLA Conference in Grinnell this summer. In addition, the club celebrated meeting its PolioPlus giving goal, reaffirmed its commitment to Rotary Foundation support, and continued focused efforts on membership growth and community engagement.
